Farm Tour
For our guests or for those interested in spending a day away from the hustle and bustle of the city, we can organise an unforgettable tour of the Roman countryside. In less than an hour's drive from Hotel Donna Francesca, you can visit a winery where excellent wine is produced and our farm where sheep's cheese and extra virgin olive oil are cultivated.
Details
Departing at approximately 9.30 a.m. from the Hotel Donna Francesca to arrive at the Tenuta Santa Lucia where you will be given an introduction to the winemaking process, visit the barriques and conclude with a tasting of some wines.
Afterwards, we arrive at the farm Casale del Farfa and visit the olive grove, the stables with the sheep as well as the cheese production facility, with an introduction to the process of making pecorino cheese. You will also get to visit the henhouse, where chickens produce the eggs we use to prepare the desserts at Hotel Donna Francesca.
At around 1.30 p.m., lunch will be served at the restaurant within the farm, featuring a tasting of all the local traditional dishes, rigorously homemade and with 0 km ingredients.
Return to the hotel at approximately 3.30 p.m.
